As the sixth batch graduates, ambitions soar and emotions roar
The institute held its sixth Convocation on August 5 this year. Among the graduating students, 124 were awarded BTech, 47 were awarded Msc, 5 students were awarded MA, 4 students were awarded the PGDIIT and 14 were awarded the PhD degrees. Mr Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman, Quality Council of India was the Chief Guest at the event. Prof Sudhir k Jain, Director, IITGN congratulated the students, following which medals were awarded to recognise the achievements of students in academics, innovation, social services, humanity, research, sports, best leadership and arts & culture. Students learn concepts of electrochemistry at IITGN
A two-day workshop named Electrochemistry School was conducted by the Department of Chemistry at the institute during July 24-25. Around 40 students from all over Gujarat participated in this workshop dealing with energy systems. IITGN has taken a lead in collaboration with Metrohm India and conducted a workshop for the students of Gujarat. ATM school on advanced linear algebra
An Advanced Training in Mathematics (ATM) school on Advanced Linear Algebra was organised at the institute during July 10-22, 2017 in association with the National Centre for Mathematics. This workshop covered topics in Linear Algebra which are beyond the scope of a standard MSc curriculum.
