Every education must make a person capable of solving problems. SRIP is meant for developing research skills in students. IITGN takes pride in being inclusive and SRIP is a platform that welcomes students from other Indian and foreign institutes and enables them to engage in research.Sudhir K Jain
The flagship Summer Research Internship Programme (SRIP) of the institute welcomed 173 interns to its campus this year on May 24. Of the total 173 students from across the country, 47 are students of IITGN. The interns will be participating in the eight-week programme wherein more than 53 faculty members of the institute will guide them in their research projects.
Prof Sudhir K Jain, director, IITGN while welcoming the interns, encouraged them to work on innovative ideas during this programme. The programme offers opportunities to select interns to carry out research projects under the mentorship of IITGN faculty members.
Sharing more information on the SRIP 2018, Prof Iti Gupta, programme coordinator and Associate Professor of Chemistry, IITGN told that, “A number of interns from prestigious colleges across the country have joined SRIP 2018. These colleges include 10 IITs and 19 NITs. Our faculty members have offered a wide range of research projects. The details of these projects are provided on the SRIP website. We plan to organise the SRIP Lecture Series, a poster competition, and cultural and sports activities for the interns. We are hopeful that the interns will enjoy the experience at IITGN.”
