Sustainable development involves how well the social, environmental and economic objectives or needs are managed by people without negatively affecting the future generations, when making decisions. In a broader sense, it should be resource-efficient and carefully-planned to deliver short-term and long-term benefits aiming to enhance the prosperity of this planet as a whole.
A strong promoter of the concept of sustainability for a better future, which has become a necessity across all sectors of evolution in the present times, IITGN established the Dr Kiran C Patel Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) on January 30 this year.
