The Adventure Frenzy Club of Staff Development Cell (SDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) organised a one-day adventure trek to the Polo Forest for its staff members on January 18. Polo Forest is one of the most beautiful and wonderful campsites of Gujarat, also known as Vijaynagar Forest, and is spread across the foothills of the Aravalli range, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat. A total of 17 staff members trekked to the forest and enjoyed the day-off in the wilderness. A local forest guide from the forest department guided the team through the trail that covered some historic monuments from the 15th century.
All the participants successfully completed the guided trek of about 9 km into the hilly terrain of Polo Forests, which took close to four hours. The event helped the participants take a break from their hectic routine and break the monotony by indulging into the adventurous trek amid the beautiful environs of the Polo Forest.
