There is no stopping when one has a greater purpose in life, such as serving others. This evening, we bring you one such story of our student, Keshav Chaudhary, whose long-term goal is to join the Civil Services and serve society; prominently by educating underprivileged children. Hailing from Alwar, Rajasthan, he joined IITGN’s Master of Science programme in Chemistry in 2020 and is now working on realising his dream.
During his MSc at the Institute, Keshav synthesised novel molecules for bio-imaging of cell organelles. Sharing the inspiration behind pursuing this research, he says that he was very impressed with the way Prof Sudipta Basu taught them the course on physical organic chemistry in the first semester. Thus, the application of synthetic organic chemistry in biology fascinated him to work in the field of Chemical Biology.
Reminiscing his student life at IITGN, he said that he has spent some of the most beautiful moments of his life on the football field and that he will always cherish being a part of the institute’s football team. For him, playing football was a source to socialise with other students, staff members and some of the faculty members. The sport also taught him how to handle pressure when things don’t work as planned and overcome challenging situations. “During my stay here, I made some good friends who have always supported me through thick and thin. They were there to cheer for me on the football field and also helped me clear my doubts the night before the exam. My journey at IITGN has been a beautiful story all because of football and my buddies,” expresses Keshav.
