The institute celebrated the 71st Independence Day with great rigour and enthusiasm. The day started with the unfurling of the tricolour by Prof Sudhir K Jain, Director, IITGN which was followed with the national anthem and cultural programmes.
The institute took “Sankalp” on August 9 to free India from poverty, terrorism, regionalism, corruption and non-hygiene by 2022. The evening was observed under Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India’s directives to mark the beginning of celebrations of the 71st Independence Day and 75th year of the Quit India Movement.
The “Sankalp” underscored taking a pledge towards making of a New India by 2022 (75th year of Indian Independence).
