The institute organised JEE Open House on June 17 this year. Organised for the students clearing JEE Advanced exam and their parents each year, the event is aimed at providing guidance that helps them choose from among the different engineering branches across IITs. A large number of students had registered their interest in participating in the event this year.
Sharing the objective of JEE Open House at IITGN, Prof Pratik Mutha, Dean of Academic Affairs said, “Students often aren’t aware of various disciplines, programmes and courses of study offered at various IITs, and they may also have a lot of confusion and misconceptions. The JEE Open House is a platform to give students and their parents a deeper insight into various opportunities and possibilities at the IITs. The idea is to help the prospective students in making informed choices of institute and discipline”.
During the Open House, the participating students and their parents were also taken for a tour of the IITGN campus. The participants also interacted with several IITGN faculty members as well as students and alumni of the institute, and learnt about their experiences.
The idea behind initiating JEE Open House was to help the prospective students in making informed choices of institute and discipline.
