IITGN staff visits Panchmahal, spend a day at leisure

The Adventure Frenzy Club of IITGN Staff Development Cell (SDC) organised an adventure camp and trekking for the staff members at Panchmahal on November 16. A total of 22 staff members participated in the guided adventure trail at the Bakore Campsite of Sundarvan. The participants started early in the morning and thoroughly enjoyed a three-hour trek at the Bakore forest. From there, they proceeded for Kaleshwari Archaeological Site at noon. The institute announced a major project on the history of Indian mathematics today, with the support of a major grant by Infosys Co-founder Mr Kris Gopalakrishnan. As part of the project, IITGN will develop programmes and support research scholars, conferences, publications, etc. and broaden global awareness and understanding of the wide-ranging and seminal Indian contributions to number systems, geometry, algebra, trigonometry and algorithmic methods.
