Disha Cup- where cricket meets camaraderie

Disha Cup, the annual cricket tournament of IITGN for the institute’s outsourced manpower, kick-started today. In its fifth edition, the opening ceremony was held in presence of Prof D P Roy, senior visiting faculty at IITGN. Taking inspiration from the Fit India Movement, the institute shared its Fitness Regime Programme through Disha Cup. Curtains by village women to adorn new hostel rooms at IITGN

Eight women from the nearby Palaj and Basan villages stitched the first lot of 219 curtains from the comfort of their homes and earned around ₹500-1000 in about 15 days’ time. Students spend a considerable time of their lives in hostels and are attached to this space where they build memories of a lifetime.
