Students without prior experience of working on computers, learnt five software, more than 10 machines, and 200+ hands-on STEM activities/models/toys in four months’ time. A total of 10 students from different Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across Gujarat recently completed their four months’ intensive hands-on internship under the MACOM (Makers and Communicators) Program by the Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN). IITGN hosted the Gandhinagar District Football Association (GDFA) tournament’s opening ceremony on January 25. The opening ceremony of the GDFA tournament was followed by the first league match of the tournament between home team ‘IITGN A’ and Insane Rovers Football Club’s team ‘IRFC B’. Prof Vikrant Jain, Chairman, IITGN Staff Gymkhana was present during the match as the Chief Guest. He wished and encouraged all the players and flagged off the event.
