Needless to say that IIT Gandhinagar not only provides the best education to its students but endeavors to develop them in an overall manner. This can be said by looking at the emphasis that the institute gives on students’ physical activities and sports. Apart from the pre-existing Football and Cricket grounds, the three Basketball courts and three Volleyball courts are being readied. These courts are near to the hostels Aiban and Beauki (near the Jalmandap). The courts will be fully functional in a short time. Four Tennis courts are also coming up in the Central Vista, east of the existing hostel dining facility.
