In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the student body at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) has setup a Control Room facility. The control room facility is completely coordinated and managed by the students who are currently present on the campus. They are voluntarily working round the clock, constantly answering questions, conducting daily proactive follow-ups on every student on campus having a recent travel history, and meticulously monitoring the overall situation.

This Control Room will facilitate communication between the student body and the institute authorities with regard to all matters concerning the disease outbreak, and is also following on a daily basis all students on campus who have had recent travel history. Students on campus can contact the Control Room, in case they are facing any difficulties in the present scenario. Any queries or concerns relating to the COVID-19 outbreak will be addressed by the volunteers at the Control Room and be conveyed to the institute authorities (when appropriate) without delay.

As a single point of contact, an informatory website has been developed for the same that has all the guidelines on precautionary measures, real-time updates of the situation on campus and all other necessary information. All the doubts regarding the situation on COVID-19 at IITGN can be clarified from the Control Room. Visit the website for details: https://sites.iitgn.ac.in/controlroom/
