Nurture and Empower Entrepreneurial Ventures, also known as NEEV, is a community outreach programme established at IITGN in the year 2014. It provides a comprehensive training and mentoring in various fields such as stitching, vocational skills, spoken English, computer skills and entrepreneurship, by means of a wide range of workshops, courses, projects and awareness sessions. This, in turn, leads to the development and enhancement of employability and entrepreneurial mindset of the local village communities around IITGN. The main purpose is to bridge the education and learning gaps that exist between the privileged and underprivileged sections of the community. This would help in contributing towards sustainable livelihoods at grassroots level in the long term.
Women and youths from semi-urban and rural localities near the institute are the prime beneficiaries of this programme. Since its inception, NEEV has had a positive impact on the lives of 2,000+ people from more than 15+ villages by means of its various courses and workshops.
