Safety engineering is a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary field concerned with providing detailed approaches and modes for reduction of accidents by utilising several risk management processes. It has strong relations with systems and industrial engineering, and broadly includes study and designing of fail-safe process equipment and tools that prevent hazardous exposure to workers as well as the environment.
