IIT Gandhinagar has showcased its exceptional talent and innovation again by securing two prestigious trophies, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, at the Inter IIT Tech Meet 13.0 held at IIT Bombay from December 11 to 14, 2024. This annual event brings together the brightest minds from all IITs to solve real-world challenges that leading industries and companies pose.

The IIT Gandhinagar contingent lead by Technical Secretary, Naman Dharmani and Deputy Contingent Leaders, Guntas Singh Saran and Kishan Ved, bagged the Silver Trophy for excelling in a problem statement set by Adobe Research. The team members Mr Birudugadda Srivibhav, Mr Chandrabhan Patel, Mr Viraj Vekaria, Mr Karan Gandhi, Mr Rugved Patil and Mr Shreyans Jain, demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills and technical expertise in building a system to distinguish AI generated images for enhanced integrity and trust in digital media to claim the second position.

Another proud achievement was the team’s remarkable feat of securing the Bronze Trophy in a problem statement presented by Insolation Energy. The stellar performance came from team members Mr Parth Deshpande, Mr Siddharth Shah, Mr Nakul S Raj, and Ms Manasi Kulkarni, with their teamwork and innovation culminating in the development of a model to predict future solar waste and proposed sustainable recycling solutions.

The Inter IIT Tech Meet, an annual competition, is a platform for all IITs to showcase their ingenuity and compete against each other on challenges with direct industry relevance. This year, IIT Bombay organized the 13th edition and witnessed enthusiastic participation from all 23 IITs, with problem statements across various technology and innovation domains.
