The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, are pleased to announce the launch of a Double Degree Master’s Program (DDMP). This unique collaboration offers students an opportunity to earn two separate master’s degrees, one from IITGN and another from AIT, by integrating the strengths and expertise of both institutions.

In an era where interdisciplinary knowledge and global exposure are increasingly critical, this program aims to equip students with the skills and perspectives necessary to tackle complex challenges in various fields. The Double Degree Master’s Program encompasses cutting-edge disciplines, including Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Bio-Nano Materials Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Management, Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geotechnical and Earth Resources Engineering, Water Engineering and Management, and Sustainable Energy Transition.

By combining the rigorous academic environments, innovative curricula, and immersive learning principles of IITGN and AIT, the program fosters an educational experience that transcends geographical and cultural boundaries. Students will experience a global educational journey, spending their first and fourth semesters at AIT in Thailand and their second and third semesters at IITGN in India. They will have the opportunity to learn from expert faculty and academics from both institutions, explore interdisciplinary research domains, and access world-class laboratories and infrastructure.

To ensure students become market-ready professionals, IITGN and AIT will offer extensive networking opportunities with industry leaders, business executives, NGOs, and governmental agencies across Asia. These connections will allow students to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge from experts. Moreover, involvement in placement and career fairs will enhance their prospects for successful employment and career advancement upon graduation.  Both institutions will provide on-campus residence facilities and assist students with e-visa processing to ensure a smooth transition between the campuses. IITGN and AIT are committed to making education accessible, offering built-in scholarships and other financial support to alleviate students’ financial burdens.

Admissions for the August 2024 intake are now open. The application deadline is July 15 2024. For more information and to apply, please visit https://sdp.ait.ac.th/admissions.
