NEEV empowered more than 100 rural youth and women through Skill Development Courses

NEEV, a community outreach program of the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) organized the valedictory event of its May – July 2019, Summer Skills Courses on July 05, 2019. Smt. Mona Khandhar (IAS), Secretary and Commissioner, Rural Development, Government of Gujarat (GoG) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Winners of Invent 2.O announced!

On June 28, IITGN concluded its second edition of Invent@IITGN – a unique six-week annual summer programme in inventing  which was started for the first time in India by the institute during the summer of 2018. Selected students of IITs from across the country gather at IITGN to ideate, build and prototype their inventions. Lessons on ‘Building Design for Fire and Life Safety’ at IITGN

Students, professionals, consultants and manufacturers from across India participated in the course, with participants coming from Jammu & Kashmir to Kerala, Odisha to Gujarat. The course also had an international participant. A four- day short course on Building Design for Fire and Life Safety was conducted during June 26-29 at IITGN.
