The institute signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka on September 8, 2017. The MoU will promote research and academic exchanges between the two institutions. The Consul-General of India at Jaffna, Mr Natarajan presided over the occasion.
Academic collaborations undertaken within the scope of this MoU will place a special emphasis on the areas of interest to both India and Sri Lanka. A delegation from the institute, including Prof Amit Prashant and Prof Chelva Kumar, visited the University of Jaffna to establish this relationship, following up on a visit earlier last year.
