We are excited to announce the winners of IIT Gandhinagar’s 5th edition of our flagship program, ‘Invention Factory® India’ – 2024. The event started on 27th May 2024. Out of over 700 applications, 20 students were selected from various Eingineering and design colleges across the country.

Founded by Prof. Alan Wolf and Eric Lima at the Cooper Union, USA, the program brings together ten teams of two students each over six weeks. During this period, they conceive ten inventions, prototype them, “pitch” them, write and file a provisional patent application in India and the US for them, and compete for prizes in the “Best Invention” category. This initiative receives generous backing from the Maker Bhawan Foundation and individual philanthropists. This year, the program is also supported by Alkyl Amines Chemicals Ltd., Mumbai, through their CSR initiative.

Today, we witnessed the finals, where 10 teams, each comprising two students, presented their inventions in front of a panel of jury in a seven-minute pitch. The Jury comprised industry leaders, technologists, medical practitioners, etc. The winning teams will receive prizes of Rs. 2 Lakh, 1 Lakh, and 50 thousand, respectively.

The winners are as follows:
